True Blood Werepanther

True Blood Werepanther Biography
Werepanthers are a supernatural species on True Blood who possess the ability to phase between their human and panther forms. They are the antithesis to the werewolves.
The first werepanther revealed in the series was Crystal Norris. After an argument with her father over her engagement to her half brother, Felton Norris, she leaves Hotshot for Jason's house. After Jason rescinds Bill's invitation from his house following an argument over Sookie's well being, he witnesses Crystal's transformation from a werepanther to her human form in another room.
It is revealed that the werepanthers living in Hotshot are deeply inbred due to their tradition of keeping their tribe's bloodline "pure" through incest. This has the unfortunate consequence of leaving them unable to produce healthy offspring because of a lack of diversity in their gene pool. Recently, the risk of extinction has lead the werepanthers to resort to extreme measures of breeding by any means neccesary. Jason Stackhouse's brief imprisonment was an example of their desperation. It is currently unknown if there are other werepanther tribes outside of Hotshot; or if any of them take up this practice as well.
When the teens in the community see Jason bitten, they ask the elder how their species came to be; Luther responds by telling them the story of werepanthers:
The first werepanthers, "Ghost Daddy" and "Ghost Mommy", were part of a tribe that adored the panthers as gods. But then the "sky people" came and declared war against nature. Most of the tribe joined them, but the two remained loyal to their god and in return he ate them. In his stomach they absorbed his magic and after being vomited they gained the ability of shift.
Acording to Felton, Jason will heal of his injuries and become one of them on the next full moon. Later when asked by Sookie Stackhouse, the werewolf Alcide Herveaux states that as far as he knows, were-creatures are hereditary and not made by biting or other injuries.

True Blood Mythology

True Blood Mythology Biography
True Blood is a seductively popular show featuring vampires and a variety of other supernatural creatures existing in our ordinary world. If you haven’t seen it before, or even if you have, you might be wondering why we describe it as cosmic. Vampires, blood, and all sorts of dark themes and creatures abound, yet this show also features some incredible social commentary and weaves in some wonderful mythology. In this article, we’ll explore True Blood in depth and discover the secrets that lie underneath the surface.
The below trailer for season 2 will give you a feel for the show. Then we’ll introduce you to the characters, take a deeper look at the mythological undertones throughout the series, and relate them to the overall theme of darkness versus light, or rather, the shades of grey within us all.
Bon Temps is hit by a series of grisly murders, and the waitresses at Merlotte’s seem to be the prime targets. Each of them had been with a vampire in the past, so many suspect Bill or another vampire is responsible. Sookie’s grandmother is killed next, though she was not the intended victim. Over time it becomes clear that the culprit is someone in the town, and Sookie is hot on his trail, determined to catch the killer. Each of the victims had associated with vampires, so naturally Sookie fears she may be next. She eventually finds out it was Rene, the husband of fellow Merlotte’s waitress Arlene. Rene’s hatred of vampires made him kill his sister and several other innocents. The whole town was so quick to judge a vampire, yet it was one of their own kind who was to blame.
Meanwhile, back in Bon Temps, trouble is brewing as a new character, Maryann Forrester, shakes up the town. She is played by the fabulous actress Michelle Forbes. We know very little about her at first, except that she’s incredibly generous to Sookie’s friend Tara, bailing her out of jail and offering her a place to stay at her luxurious mansion. Tara is slow to trust Maryann, but over time she gives in, surrounded by delicious food, all the marijuana she can smoke, and the affections of Maryann and her strange friends. Sam Merlotte, owner of the restaurant, has a history with Maryann that he won’t reveal. He once attempted to steal from her when he was on the run as a young boy. She taunts and teases him throughout the season, content in the fact that she can reveal him as a shape-shifter if he crosses her. Maryann has powers too, but for a while she doesn’t reveal them. She appears to be nothing more than a fun-loving woman, bringing drinks to the table and life to the party. Everyone wants to dance when Maryann’s around…but no one knows exactly why.

True Blood Queen Mab

True Blood Queen Mab Biography
Queen Mab is a fairy referred to in Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. She later appears in other poetry and literature, and in various guises in drama and cinema. In the play her activity is described in a famous speech by Mercutio written originally in prose and often adapted into iambic pentameter, in which she is described as a miniature creature who drives her chariot into the noses and into the brains of sleeping people to compel them to experience dreams of wish-fulfillment. She would also "plague" "ladies' lips" "with blisters", which is thought a reference to the plague or to herpes simplex. She is also described as a midwife to help sleepers 'give birth' to their dreams. She may be a figure borrowed from folklore, and though she is often associated with the Irish Medb in popular culture and has been suggested by Thomas Keightley (historian) to be from Habundia[1], a more likely origin for her name would be from Mabel and the Middle English derivative "Mabily" (as used by Chaucer)[2] all from the Latin "amabilis"
Mab appeared as the main antagonist in the 1998 fantasy mini-series, Merlin. She is portrayed as a cruel, power-hungry, somewhat sociopathic goddess and the twin sister of the Lady of the Lake.[citation needed] She is mentioned in the movie Fairy Tale as the fairy queen.[citation needed]
In the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, she takes the form of an ecstasy-like drug.[citation needed]
In season four of HBO's original series "True Blood", Queen Mab is a new recurring character portrayed by Rebecca Wisocky.

Though the Disney cartoon Gargoyles was canceled before Queen Mab could appear, creator Greg Weisman says that she is the mother of the series' version of Oberon and would eventually have been an antagonist had the show continued.

True Blood Howl

True Blood Howl Biography
“True Blood” premiered on HBO in 2008 and since then has continued to gain audiences in Anaheim, and around the world with each episode, making it HBO’s first highly successful show since “The Sopranos.” It has also garnered several nominations and awards, including the 2009 Emmy for Outstanding Casting on a Drama Series.
The show is known for its outlandish storylines, violence, gore, language, and sex… lots and lots of sex. However, this show continues to impress critics and fans alike because of its characters. They're real, honest, flawed, and extremely likeable. Our heroine, Sookie, shows us how powerful yet delicate a woman can be, and depending whether you’re Team Bill or Team Eric, Sookie is able to balance her intense feelings for both without letting they’re relationships turn into a clichéd love triangle.
The third season, which starts June 13, 2010, is loosely based on Charlaine Harris’ third book, Club Dead. “… I’m not giving anything away when I say that we’ll meet the Vampire King of Mississippi, Edward Edgington,“ Alan Ball (Series Creator) revealed, “And we’ll encounter werewolves for the first time in the flesh; we’ve heard about them, but we’ll meet them. I’m very excited about the character of Debbie Pelt. She’s bad news.”

True Blood Fairy

True Blood Fairy Biography
Sookie Stackhouse is a human-fairy hybrid, introduced in the first season of True Blood. Sookie is the most prominent main character on the show and is played by Academy Award-winning Canadian Kiwi actress, Anna Paquin, in her Golden Globe-winning television role. Sookie also appears in the The Sookie Stackhouse Novels as the titular character and narrator of the stories.
In the television series, Canadian-born New Zealand actress Anna Paquin portrays Sookie. In order to portray a Sookie closer to the books, Paquin had to undergo a number of cosmetic changes. Paquin, a natural brunette with fair skin, had to dye her hair blonde for the role so that her hair looked like it would be naturally blonde. Paquin also has to use tanning lotion regularly on her skin so that she has Sookie's sunkissed skin tone. Paquin still differs physically from the book Sookie as she has brown eyes instead of blue and is noticeably slimmer than her book counterpart.
The actress has stated that she wears "a good bra" when portraying Sookie so that she can live up to the book counterpart's famously large bosom. Anna is also required to speak in the Southern Louisiana dialect when portraying Sookie.
